Realtime Visibility on Every Truck, Every Stop

A live fleet map that shows where every plow is, what it is doing, and how far ahead or behind it is, without a single radio call.

Follosoft dispatcher dashboard showing live positions of snow removal trucks on a map

You cannot manage what you cannot see

During a storm, a dispatcher juggles a dozen trucks, a dozen driver phones, and an inbox full of client requests. Without a live view of the fleet, every decision is a guess, and every client call is answered with "let me check and call you back".

How it works

  1. Every tablet reports its position

The moment an operator starts their shift, their tablet becomes a live pin on the dispatcher's map, updated every few seconds.

  2. Progress, status, and ETAs, all live

The dashboard shows who is on route, who is paused, who is delayed, and how many stops remain. No one needs to pick up a radio.

  3. Instant answers to client questions

When a client calls asking "where's my plow", the dispatcher can see the truck is four driveways away and give a real ETA, in one second.

What it unlocks

Accurate ETAs for clients

No more guessing. The dispatcher gives a real answer in seconds.

Fewer radio calls

Supervisors see everything they need on one screen. Operators stay focused on their driveways.

Earlier problem detection

When a truck stops moving, the dashboard tells you, so you can dispatch help before the crew calls for it.

Better after-action reports

Every storm becomes a replay you can study, to improve the next route.

A real scenario from the field

During a fast-moving February storm, a commercial fleet of 14 trucks in Ottawa has two driver call-outs and one truck stuck in a ditch. On the realtime dashboard, the dispatcher sees the stuck truck immediately (zero movement for eight minutes), pulls a nearby plow off its route to help, redistributes the blocked truck's remaining 60 stops across three other crews, and calls every affected client with an accurate ETA, all without leaving the map view. By dawn, every commercial contract is cleared on time.

Realtime visibility, answered

How often does the map update?

Every few seconds. Positions stream in live from each tablet, so the dispatcher always sees a current snapshot of the fleet.

Can supervisors use it from home?

Yes. The dashboard is web-based, so a supervisor can open it from any browser, at home, in the office, or on a phone at a job site.

Does it show commercial and residential routes together?

Yes. Every truck is on the same live map, regardless of contract type. You can filter by crew, by route, or by service class.

What happens if a tablet loses signal?

The last known position stays on the map, and the tablet buffers its updates locally. As soon as the signal returns, the dashboard catches up automatically.
